Selling your home may or may not be an easy task for anyone.

More often than not, sellers are emotionally attached to their property.  This is why it is beneficial to use an intermediary such as an experienced Realtor to act on your behalf.  Prior to any showings of your property, buyers should be pre-approved by their lender.  Only serious buyers who are ready, willing and able would be making appointments to view it.  As a homeowner you would not let strangers into your home so why advertise to them.  Let licensed professional Realtors who already have pre-screened the buyers go through the process.

Staging your home is just as important as listing your home .  The property should be shown while it is clean and empty.  In fact playing a type of classical music to help set the mood would be advantageous. Setting the mood is very important if you are looking to get your home sold .  Another reason for choosing a Realtor is that they will properly price your home, with some negotiation room since most buyers expect to negotiate.

According to statistics home sales by a Realtor represented more than 89% of sales.  The reason is that selling your home can cost you plenty of time, money, liability and overall hassle.  A Realtor does this for a living and on a day to day basis.  They protect you from scam artists and potential thieves. The bottom line. While selling your home may not be an impossible task, keep in mind of the inherent risks that go along with the Do It Yourself mentality.
